Your first conversation

From an empty workspace to a useful answer, with the tools that matter.

Before you start: you need an account and to be signed in at dex.aocyber.ai. Nothing else has to be configured — no persona, no knowledge base, no settings.

A conversation with a question and the assistant’s reply

Steps

1. Start a conversation.

The workspace opens on Conversations. An empty account shows No conversations yet. Click New Conversation.

2. Type a message and send it.

The reply streams in as it is generated. While it is running the send button becomes Stop generation, so you can cut off a long answer that has already gone the wrong way.

3. Try the tools.

Above the input box is a row of small buttons. They apply to the message you are about to send, not to the conversation as a whole:

ButtonWhat it does
SearchLets the assistant search the web and cite what it used. See Web search.
DocumentProduces a document as the output rather than a chat reply. See Generate a document.
ThinkTurns on extended reasoning, with a budget you can set. See Extended reasoning.

Which buttons appear depends on the persona in use — a persona can switch any of them off.

4. Attach something.

Use Attach file, or drag a file onto the conversation. Documents and images both work; the assistant reads them as part of the message.

5. Do something with the answer.

Hover a message for its actions: copy it, edit and resend your own message, or Regenerate response to take another run at the assistant’s.

What happens next

Nothing is thrown away. The conversation is saved, titled automatically, and searchable. If memory is on for your account, useful context from it carries into later conversations — see Memories.
