Teams and invitations

Create a team, invite people, and manage roles.

Team-tier feature. Teams and Invitations do not appear on a solo account, which includes Early Access accounts. If you cannot see them in the navigation or in settings, that is why.

A team is a shared context. Projects and memories can be scoped to one, so work belongs to the group rather than to whoever happened to start the thread.

The Teams screen

Creating a team

Create Team.

FieldNotes
NameRequired. Enter team name.
DescriptionDescribe the purpose of this team.

Edit Team changes either later. Delete Team removes it.

Inviting people

Invite Member, and give an email address. AODex confirms Invitation sent to .

The recipient gets a link. Following it attaches their account to the team — including for someone who does not have an account yet, who will Create Account through that link rather than signing up separately.

Tell people to use the invitation link. Someone who signs up at dex.aocyber.ai instead ends up with an unrelated personal account, and the invitation is still sitting unaccepted.

Accepting one

Pending invitations appear under Invitations, showing Invited by . Accept — Invitation accepted. Welcome to the team! — or decline. No pending invitations means there are none.

Roles

Two roles, changed from the member list:

RoleMeaning
AdminCan manage the team, its members and their roles.
MemberBelongs to the team and its shared context.

Make Admin and Make Member move a person between them.

Removing someone

Remove Member, confirmed with Remove from this team? They lose access to the team’s shared context. Their own conversations remain theirs.

Keep more than one admin. A team whose only admin loses access is a team nobody can administer.
